Like any organization, we encourage others to consider membership. Please contact Neil Gordes our Membership Chairman if your interested. Eye Glass Donations

The Rocky Hill Lions club is collecting used eyeglasses for distribution to less developed nations. The Lions refurbish and sort usable pairs, and send them to medical technicians and relief workers in Third World nations for distribution in villages. So far this year (between June 2004 and February 2005) we have collected well over 1200 pairs of glasses, thanks in a major way to the generous space provided for collection by the "Big Y" Supermarket, and other very generous organizations, professionals and retailers listed below, in town.

All frames must be intact. Frames that are broken or have missing lenses cannot be used. Regular and prescription sunglasses in good condition will also be accepted. Eyeglass cases will not be accepted.

Eye Glass Collection boxes are located at the following Rocky Hill locations:

Cora Beldon Library
U-Frame It on Silas Dean Highway
Visual Perceptions next to Consignment Shop on Silas Dean Highway
Big Y on Elm St
St. James Church on Elm Street
Rocky Hill Eye Associates, P.C. 2049 Silas Deane Highway

Eye glass Collection boxes are located at the following Wethersfield locations:
